Welcome to the
"Working with media" module of the
AstraZeneca Nominated Signatory Online Training

Welcome to the ‘Working with the Media’ module of the AstraZeneca Nominated Signatory Online Training.
The purpose of the course is to help equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance your ability to perform the Nominated Signatory role.

This module focuses on Working with the Media.
The principles are applicable to the majority of country codes.

However it is always worth remembering that local regulations vary. This course addresses the basic principles, however, it is necessary to check the local regulations before approving material. Also please note that in the USA, promotion to the public is allowed and therefore some of the rules that apply elsewhere are treated slightly differently in the USA.

As you are aware, all AstraZeneca employees must adhere to our Code of Conduct, which is supported by the Global Policies, the applicable Global Standards and any standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are in place. We are also committed to following all applicable laws and regulations in every country where we operate. In addition, AstraZeneca has applied the principles of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA), European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) and the UK’s Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Codes of Practice into our Global Code and Policy framework.

This online training has been prepared based on EFPIA and ABPI Codes of Practice (selected as benchmark codes providing high standards), but in all cases if any internal or external local Code or Regulation is stricter than the principles explained here, the strictest rule applies.
