Welcome to the
"Medicines Promotion Regulations for Marketing Personnel" module of the
AstraZeneca Nominated Signatory Online Training
Welcome to the AstraZeneca Online Compliance Training for Marketing Personnel.
The purpose of the course is to provide you with a basic knowledge of the requirements for producing compliant marketing and promotional materials at AstraZeneca. It is based on the more detailed training given to nominated signatories, and so should assist you with the approval process for your assets. The principles covered here are applicable to the majority of country codes. However it is always worth remembering that local regulations vary.
This course addresses the basic principles behind the regulations governing advertising of medicines– depending on your role and the materials you work on, it may also be necessary to check compliance with applicable local regulations.
As you are aware, all AstraZeneca employees must adhere to our Code of Conduct, which is supported by the Global Policies, the applicable Global Standards and any standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are in place. We are also committed to following all applicable laws and regulations in every country where we operate. In addition AstraZeneca has applied the principles of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA), European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) and the UK’s Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Codes of Practice into our Global Code and Policy framework.
This online training has been prepared based on EFPIA and ABPI Codes of Practice (selected as benchmark codes providing high standards), but in all cases if any internal or external local Code or Regulation is stricter than the principles explained here, the strictest rule applies.
